Just Some Facts

Every two hours a person dies from kidney failure.
Twenty-six million American adults have chronic kidney disease (CKD), and millions of others are at increased risk.
The gap between donations and transplants has grown 111 percent since 1998.
In 2009, 78,874 Americans were on the transplant waiting list, while only 16,518 kidneys were donated by both living and deceased donors in 2008.
